My blog has been quiet of late, as this school year has taken its toll on my spare time and unfortunately on my psyche. I can honestly say that the end of this school year, year 13 in the profession for me, is the first time that I really feel "burnt out" completely. For those that know me personally, they know that this is a pretty monumental statement. I've "done it all" for so long and took it all in stride, but this school year was more than even I could handle, and it has left me feeling very jaded (as in definition #2).
Today in the midst of trying to put a cap on this school year, fellow music education and web 2.0 enthusiast Brian Wis published an online collection of musical thoughts using an interesting platform called https://about.jux.com/" target="_blank">Jux. It allows you to share words and images in fullscreen.

Be sure to click on the first quote at the top of the page and then page your way through each one.
I have an article planned for later this week on a great new online resource for middle school and high school performing ensembles. Stay tuned.
