One of my favorite people to follow in the blogosphere is Seth Godin. His blog is one of the most widely read in the English language worldwide. He is the master of the succinct, communicating more meaning in fewer words than just about anyone else I have ever seen. His blog posts average about 150 to 200 words. Try saying something meaningful in 200 words or less - it's not easy.
His blog entry today is called The Atomic Method of Creating a Powerpoint Presentation and is basically his blogging style applied to powerpoint slides. Say more with less. I have a clinic presentation coming up in less than a month, and I will be going back to my Prezi slides and trying this.
What is so powerful about this approach is that it makes every slide more meaningful and the flow of the presentation more dynamic. As a relatively new clinician, tips like this are extremely helpful, especially for a person like me who likes to share every little tidbit I know rather than keeping it steamlined and impactful.
