Recording Review: Frank Battisti - "If Only I Had Less Rehearsal Time" TMEA 2001 (June 2010) - It's time for music education as a profession to put aside being a "band director" or "choir director" and start being a "music teacher" who uses a band, choir, orchestra, or electronic music as the medium by which their students learn to create, perform, explore and love music for all the wonder that it is. Event Review: PMEA In-Service Conference 2010 (April 2010) - a Cover It Live feed of live coverage from the PMEA Annual In-Service Conference in Pittsburgh, PA April 22-24, 2010. I served as a chaperone for the PMEA All-State Orchestra throughout the conference, and the experience of being involved with the All-State Festival from the inside out was definitely more than I bargained for! Check out the great tweets from other music educators and music ed undergrads attending the conference. Read more
